Announcement to end strike by protesting doctors over delay in NEET-PG counseling

It has been decided to withdraw the strike of the resident doctors in protest against the delay in NEET-PG counseling. Resident doctors of Delhi will return to work from 12 noon today. The Federation of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA) gave this information by issuing a statement. With the end of the strike of the resident doctors, the patients who are circling the hospital are expected to get relief. Recently, after a clash between the doctors and the police during the demonstration, the matter took hold and the doctors intensified their demonstration.

Resident doctors organization FORDA said that the health ministry has agreed to submit the committee report to the Supreme Court before the hearing on January 6. The ministry has also assured that no punitive or disciplinary action will be taken by the authorities against the resident doctors who participated in the protest.

Forda said in a statement that on December 30, several meetings of Forda representatives with Delhi Police officials were held. It has been emphasized by the Delhi Police that they have great respect for doctors. They are well aware of the difficulties of doctors and are ready to cooperate with the medical fraternity in any matter at any time.

The federation said that the Delhi Police officials also assured that the FIRs registered against the resident doctors would be looked into as per the legal process.

Federation of Resident Doctors Association President Dr. Manish told ANI, “We had a meeting last night, in this meeting the DCP and the Joint Commissioner of Police were there. The process of withdrawing the FIR has started. With the RDAs of all the states The decision was taken in the meeting and we are calling off the strike after 12 noon today.”

He said that patients are also facing problems due to the strike. Many surgeries have been postponed. In view of this situation, doctors are withdrawing their strike at 12 o’clock today.

Due to the strike of the resident doctors, the patients are facing problems in the hospitals. Patients and their relatives had to make frequent visit to the hospital for other things including operations. Now the patients are expected to get relief due to the withdrawal of the doctors strike.
