Prime Minister’s Ayodhya Visit

“The Prime Minister is expected to reach Ayodhya airport somewhere around 10.45 am. After landing at the airport, he will move straight to Ayodhya railway station where he will inaugurate the redeveloped railway station. He will then return to the airport, inaugurate the newly-built airport and subsequently address a ‘jan sabha’ (public rally),” Divisional Commissioner of Ayodhya, Gaurav Dayal told news agency PTI. The Prime Minister will leave Ayodhya after the nearly hour-long rally, which is anticipated to draw about 1.5 lakh people, he continued.

Renovated Ram Path and Key Roads

Between the airport and the train station, PM Narendra Modi will conduct a roadshow and accept the greetings of the Ayodhya community. The administration had started work on Thursday, erecting makeshift wooden barriers on both sides of the recently renovated Ram Path and other roads that would cross his path as he made his way from the airport to the railway station. At several key spots in the temple town, large posters featuring Prime Minister Modi’s picture and a greeting to the “holy city of Ayodhya” were erected.

PM Modi to Inaugurate Eight New Trains

According to a statement from his office on Thursday, PM Modi will also inaugurate six new Vande Bharat and two new Amrit Bharat trains during his visit to Ayodhya. In order to modernise public infrastructure and build world-class facilities in Ayodhya, Modi will introduce projects totaling more than Rs 11,100 crore. He will also open four recently renovated, widened, and beautifully landscaped roads in Ayodhya—Ram Path, Bhakti Path, Dharm Path, and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Path—to improve accessibility to the future Ram temple, according to the PMO. Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, arrived in Ayodhya on Friday and plans to remain there during the prime minister’s visit. PTI was informed by Ayodhya District Magistrate Nitish Kumar that the Chief Minister will also convene an Ayodhya review meeting.

Notable Figures Joining PM Modi and CM Yogi

Along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, other attendees will include Union Minister of Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia, Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav, local MPs and MLAs, and a few party officials. Less than a month before the impending Ram temple’s “pran pratishtha” (consecration), Prime Minister Modi is making a visit. The prime minister will be present at the consecration ceremony of the grand Ram temple, which is presently being built in Ayodhya, on January 22.

Ayodhya Gears Up for a Massive Influx

Near the consecration ceremony, a huge influx of people is anticipated in Ayodhya, and the city is being prepared for the momentous occasion. Surya Stambhs, or imposing columns with sun themes, have been installed along a prominent street in the holy city that coincides with his VVIP movement routes. Interpretation walls portraying the life of Lord Ram are being erected at regular intervals on both sides of this road, known as the Dharm Path, close to Lata Mangeshkar Chowk.
