The Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board has issued an Infographics Bakrid 2025 Advisory on the peaceful and hygienic Eid-ul-Adha. The Advisory, in advance of Eid, collects our governments and district administrations recommendations to enable us to be properly guided about Namaz (prayers), Qurbani (animal slaughter) and social media.
Strict protocols regarding Namaz and Qurbani
The Bakrid 2025 Advisory indicates that Eid prayers should only occur in mosques or approved Eidgah grounds, otherwise Ikamat prayers on public roads or lanes will not be considered. However, a district administrative authority decision is required before Ikamat prayers can occur on the road or lane.
The Qurbani event aspect of the Advisory clearly states that all Qurbani must happen in a discreet approved location, utilising tin huts or shields/walls/internally, for privacy and hygiene purposes. The Advisory goes on to say that, we must dispose of animal remains in municipal containers - we shall not just throw them anywhere (and it's environmentally responsible).
Strict protocols regarding informatization and social media
One of the important messages in the Bakrid 2025 Advisory explicitly prohibits sharing of videos or audios of animal slaughter, in whole or in part, on social media.
The Board advises that even 10 seconds sharing of Qurbani, can develop confusion and damage the peace and welfare stability of community cooperation into the weekend, open to also; further community leaders should endorse this public service style message to ensure individuals may responsibly align the digital edited episodes of activities.
Value your cooperative relationship
Finally, the Advisory also offers a measure of value concerning community engagement and administration. All aspects of the community are asked to voluntarily comply, and keep Bakrid 2025 safe, honourable, and cooperative.
