Bhiwani murder case: Mahapanchayat declares accused ‘innocent,’ Owaisi slams Rajasthan CM

Bhiwani murder case: The Bhiwani murder case in which burnt bodies of two Muslim were found continues to see new twists and turns. Post the abduction and murder of two men who belonged to Rajasthan’s Bharatpur, the police had named five accused with cow vigilantism turning up as the prima facie in the case. One of the five accused, Monu Manesar, was associated with Bajrang Dal. On Tuesday, a ‘mahapanchayat’ was was organised on Tuesday in Manesar to support Monu Manesar. Calling him innocent, the villager has also warned police personnel from entering the village. Monu Manesar is currently on the run.

Owaisi slams Rajasthan chief minister Gehlot

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi  on Tuesday shared an exclusive photo of the Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot with Nasir and Junaid.

“BREAKING: Exclusive photo of @ashokgehlot51 meeting Junaid’s & Nasir’s family”, Owaisi tweeted with a blank image. Earlier, Owaisi had claimed that Rajasthan government delayed action in the double murder case even as the kins’ police complaint was filed right on time.

“Had the Rajasthan government taken immediate action on the missing complaint related to Junaid and Nasir, then they (abductors) would have not been able to cross the Rajasthan border,” PTI quoted Owaisi.

What is the case? 

Nasir and Junaid were abducted from Bharatpur last Wednesday. Their charred bodis were found in Loharu on Thursday. A senior police official had said that preliminary interrogation suggests cow vigilantism in the case. Meanwhile, the Rajasthan Police have identified eight people other than the accused for their involvement in the case.
