Bomb Threats Rattle Delhi-NCR Schools, Lucknow’s Amity Joins List of Targeted Institutions

Lucknow School Bomb Threat: On Wednesday morning, an email containing a bomb threat was sent to about 100 schools in Delhi, two in Noida, and one in Lucknow. This led to widespread evacuations. The Ministry of Home Affairs claimed that the emails sent to Delhi-NCR schools appeared to be a scam, as worried parents gathered outside the institutions.

Security Alert at Amity School in Lucknow’s Vrindavan Region

Amity School in the Vrindavan region of Lucknow received a similar threat. The kids were taken off campus and the campus was searched as well.

Delhi Police added that they had thoroughly inspected every school that had received a bomb threat and had discovered nothing. According to Delhi Police’s Special CP (Crime), Ravinder Yadav, various hospitals on Tuesday also received emails of the same nature.

Delhi Fire Service and Bomb Teams Mobilized to Respond to Threats

The Delhi Fire Service, bomb disposal teams, and bomb detection teams were dispatched to schools as police received dozens of complaints regarding the bomb threat. Among the 100 schools that received the threat were the Dwarka and Vasant Kunj units of Delhi Public School (DPS), Mother Marry School in East Mayur Vihar, Sanskriti School, Amity School in Pushp Vihar, and DAV School in South West Delhi.

DPS and Apeejay School in Noida also received comparable threats. As soon as the threat was received, the school was evacuated, and the pupils were sent home, sources informed India Today TV.
