“By February 2023, the Bengaluru-Mysuru Highway Project will be completed”: Nitin Gadkari

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on Thursday reviewed the development of the Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway. Gadkari was accompanied by Karnataka PWD Minister C.C. Patil and BJP MP Bachegowda were present. Taking to Twitter, the Union minister said that Karnataka’s PWD minister C.C. Patil and MP B.N. Inspected the progress of the Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway with Bachegowda. We are building 262 km long 8-lane structure at a cost of Rs 16,730 crore.

“By February 2023, the Bengaluru-Mysuru Highway Project will be completed. I saw some work pending on the stretch. We will invite either Prime Minister Narendra Modi or President Droupadi Murmu,” Mr Gadkari said.

Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway will pass through three states

According to the news, Nitin Gadkari described the expressway (Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway) as the highway of development. The Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway is part of the 26 Green Motor Corridors developed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone of this project in May 2022. This expressway will pass through Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Gadkari reached Bengaluru on Wednesday night. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and his colleagues welcomed him.

Will also do aerial inspection of Bengaluru-Mysore Expressway

Union Minister (Nitin Gadkari) will also conduct an aerial inspection of the 118 km long Bengaluru-Mysore Expressway which is built at a cost of Rs 4,473 crore. The expressway is expected to reduce the travel time between Bengaluru and Mysuru from 3.5 hours to 1.5 hours. According to the Bhasha news, according to the police, 77 accidents have taken place in the last six months and 28 people have lost their lives and 67 people have been injured. The officials claim that there are 16 accident prone areas in the expressway and they are working in this direction.

Nitin Gadkari has also talked about paying for facilities

Last year Union Minister Nitin Gadkari had said that people need to pay for good roads and other better infrastructure facilities in the country. He (Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways) had also told about the reduction in travel time and fuel cost through the expressway. The work of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is also going on fast. Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will reduce travel time by 12 hours.
