While people in South India are celebrating Gudi Padwa (also known as Ugadi), the beginning of the Hindu New Year, devotees in other parts of India are immersed in Chaitra Navratri, a nine-day festival dedicated to Maa Durga. Gudi Padwa marks the arrival of spring and the harvest season, symbolising prosperity and new beginnings. On the other hand, Chaitra Navratri is a period of spiritual devotion, where devotees worship the nine forms of Goddess Durga, seeking her blessings for strength, wisdom, and success.
