Chhattisgarh News: Soldier Killed in Naxalite IED Attack at Amdai Mine, One Injured in Blast

Chhattisgarh News: The soldiers tasked with guarding Narayanpur's Amdai Mines have once again come under attack from Naxalites. The IED explosion claimed the life of one soldier and injured another. Additionally, Naxalites had warned of IEDs being planted throughout the mines.

Earlier IED explosion

Two workers had perished in an IED explosion earlier. Kamlesh Sahu, the sacrificed soldier, lived in the Janjgir Champa district's Hasaud village. Naxalites fired and blasted IEDs on Monday at around 11:00 a.m. in the Amdai mine, which is located in the Narayanpur area under the Chhotedongar police station, according to Bastar IG P Sundar Raj.

Security Force Response

The security forces retaliated by opening fire. In the Naxalitarian attack, Constable Kamlesh Kumar of the 9th Corps of the CAF died as a martyr. First aid has been administered to Vinay Kumar, a young constable who has sustained minor injuries. Police, DRG, and ITBP are all looking into the area around it.
