Pawan Khera: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has lashed out at Congress leader Pawan Khera after he addressed Prime Minister Narendra Damodar Das Modi as Narendra ‘Gautam Das’ Modi. The comment comes amid Congress’ claims that PM Modi’s connections have helped Gautam Adani bag various deals without any prior experience.
“Why are you running away from a debate in Parliament? Why are you scared of JPC? Even PV Narasimha Rao and Atal Bihari Vajpayee set up JPC during their stints as prime ministers. What problem does Narendra ‘Gautam Das’ , ‘Damodadardas’ have with JPC? It is Damodardas right. His name is Damodardas but deeds are of ‘Gautam Das,” Khera said at the event last Friday. The video of the same has now gone viral.

BJP hits back at Pawan Khera
After the video went viral, BJP IT cell Amit Malviya lashed out at the Congress saying the opposition has always targeted PM Modi. But, they have not not even spared his ‘dead father’. For those who don’t know, Damodar Das Modi is the name of PM Modi’s late father which he uses as his middle name now.
“The Congress has repeatedly targeted PM Modi for his humble origins and now they haven’t even spared his dead father, who had nothing to do with politics… Congress’s deep seated sense of entitlement and disdain for a self made man doesn’t sit well with an aspirational India”, BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya tweeted.
‘Genuinely got confused’
Pawan Khera has now said that he was genuinely confused about PM Modi’s name. He re-shared his video that was shared by a news channel and wrote, “I genuinely got confused whether it is Damodardas or Gautam Das….”

Pawan Khera was addressing a press conference over Adani Group fraud allegations levelled by Hindenburg group. Congress has been demanding a joint parliamentary committee over the allegations, with Rahul Gandhi alleging that Gautam Adani topped the world rich list with the help of PM Modi.
