India has reported 3,26,098 new Covid cases and 3,890 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said. For the last four days, the country’s daily cases have witnessed marginal drop.
India’s total tally of Covid-19 cases now stands at 2,43,72,907 with 36,73,802 active cases and 2,66,207 deaths so far.
According to the Health Ministry, a total of 3,53,299 people have been discharged in the last 24 hours, with 2,04,32,898 being cured from Covid till date.
The Health Ministry said that a total of 18,04,57,579 people have been vaccinated so far in the country, including 11,03,625 who were administered vaccines in the last 24 hours.

* Maharashtra saw Covid-19 fatalities and new infections drop sharply on Friday, but the state tally crossed the 53 lakh mark and the toll raced past the 79,000 level, health officials said.
*The national capital reported 8,506 new Covid-19 cases on Friday, the lowest since April 10, while its daily positivity rate came down to 12.40 per cent in the last 24 hours, the Delhi governments daily health bulletin said.
*The overall global Covid-19 caseload has topped 161.5 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 3.35 million, according to the Johns Hopkins University.
