Anurag Dhanda Accuses BJP of Using Police Force Against AAP Workers During Chandigarh Protest

AAP leaders have demanded accountability over the incident and questioned the Congress leadership's response.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Anurag Dhanda has accused the BJP of using police force against AAP workers during a protest in Chandigarh over the alleged assault of a Dalit Congress worker inside the Congress office.

In a post on social media, Dhanda claimed that AAP workers had taken to the streets to protest against the alleged beating of the Dalit worker but were met with a police lathicharge. He alleged that the BJP used its influence over the police to suppress the demonstration.

Anurag Dhanda: Questions BJP-Congress Understanding Over Dalit Issue

Dhanda questioned what he described as a political understanding between the BJP and Congress on issues concerning the Dalit community. He asked why the BJP-led administration was allegedly using police force against AAP workers who were demanding accountability from the Congress leadership.

He also raised questions about Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s accountability, asking why AAP protesters were being targeted while seeking answers over the alleged incident. His remarks brought the political dispute between AAP, BJP and Congress into focus.

AAP Protest Linked to Alleged Assault on Dalit Worker

The demonstration was organised following allegations that a Dalit Congress worker had been physically assaulted inside the party office. AAP leaders have demanded accountability over the incident and questioned the Congress leadership’s response.

Dhanda’s post focused on the police response to the protest and accused the BJP and Congress of acting together against the interests of the Dalit community. These allegations represent the AAP leader’s political position; the claims concerning the incident and the police action require independent verification.
