India reported 1,34,154 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said in its latest update. In the same time, the country also saw 2887 more people succumbing to the virus. Meanwhile, 2,11,499 people were also discharged from the hospitals across the country taking India's active cases tally to 17,13,413. as per Health Ministry.
The overall death toll due to the virus has reached 3,37,989, while while 2,84,41,986 infections have been reported so far.
Today marks the 21st day when recoveries outnumbered daily coronavirus cases in the country.
The Health Ministry said that a total of 22,10,43,693 people have been vaccinated so far in the country, including 24,26,265 who were administered vaccines in the last 24 hours.
35,37,82,648 samples have been tested up to June 2 for Covid-19. Of these 21,59,873 samples were tested on Wednesday.

* Brazil exceeded 100 million doses of vaccine against Covid-19 distributed throughout the country since the launch of its national vaccination plan on January 18, the Ministry of Health said on Wednesday.
