Danish Ali Counters Allegations in BJP Letter, Says ‘Creating Narrative For My Lynching’

MP Danish Ali addresses the matter head-on by addressing claims made in a letter from a BJP leader.

Danish Ali, a member of the Bahujan Samaj Party, has levelled a severe accusation against Nishikant Dubey, a member of the BJP, in the wake of the controversy surrounding the remarks made by Ramesh Bidhuri, another member of the BJP, in the Lok Sabha. In addition to denouncing his partymate’s remarks, Dubey claimed that Ali had used a casteist epithet against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, causing Bidhuri to retaliate against the leader of Mayawati’s party.

BJP’s Nishikant Dubey Calls for Investigation into Lok Sabha Conduct Amidst Ramesh Bidhuri Controversy

“No civilised society can accept the statement given by Ramesh Vidhuri ji in the Lok Sabha as correct… But the Lok Sabha Speaker should also investigate the indecent words and conduct of Danish Ali,” Dubey said in a post on X. “According to the rules and procedures of the Lok Sabha, interrupting an MP during the scheduled time, speaking while sitting… also comes under the ambit of punishment. I have been an MP for the past 15 years. I stay in the house for the longest time, from opening of the Lok Sabha till its closing. I never thought I would see such a day,” Dubey posted.

Danish Ali Alleges BJP’s Nishikant Dubey Aims for ‘Physical Lynching’ Amid Verbal Clash in Lok Sabha

In response, Ali said that the intention of the BJP MP’s remark was to facilitate his “physical lynching outside the house” because “verbal lynching” had already occurred inside. “BJP MP Nishikant Dubey’s letter (to Lok Sabha Speaker) is to create a narrative pertaining to my lynching outside the house as my verbal lynching already took place,” Ali told news agency PTI today. Bidhuri used a torrent of offensive and racially divisive comments against the BSP MP during a discussion on the achievement of the Chandrayaan-3 mission in the Lok Sabha on Thursday, inciting dismay and widespread condemnation from both politicians and people on social media. The BJP also sent Bidhuri a show-cause letter on Friday, requesting that he give an explanation for his actions.
