Dhirendra Shastri: Bageshwar Baba, also known as Pandit Dhirendra Shastri, landed in Raipur on December 26, 2025, for a religious event in Bhilai on a Chhattisgarh government plane.

During the plane’s landing, a policeman standing nearby saluted the baba despite being in his official uniform. He later took off his shoes before touching the feet of Dhirendra Shastri.
The viral video has now come under the scanner of social media users. Many asked why Bageshwar Baba was provided with a government aircraft.
Why Was Baba Given A Government Plane?
Government aircraft can usually be used only by those holding constitutional positions or officials in government services. Some social media users have alleged that Guru Khushwant Saheb, a minister from the Chhattisgarh government, went to Madhya Pradesh to escort the Baba.
The aircraft landed at the Satna Airport around 9:30 am and departed for Raipur at 10 am.
Policeman Touches Baba’s Feet
Social media users criticized actions of the policeman, saying it goes against the uniform’s dignity and police service.
Baba’s Statement In Bhilai
Baba Bageshwar spoke to the media after reaching Bhilai. Baba Bageshwar while referring to the violence against Hindus in Bangladesh said it is time for Hindus to unite today else face the same wrath time and again. He went on to add that the day is not far when scenes similar to Bangladesh could be seen at crossroads across India and Chhattisgarh if we do not act now.
