Dhirendra Shastri: After the explosion at the Red Fort Metro station in Delhi, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, also known as Bageshwar Dham Peethadhishwar, has asked followers of the Sanatan faith to remain calm and united in faith while also calling for unified actions against the attackers. Shastri spoke to followers in the Faridabad area of Haryana in where he is currently on a padyatra (pilgrimage walk), and encouraged them to remain peacefully united, while also calling for “strong action against those who did it.”

“Every citizen is pained at such cowardly behaviour. As Sanatanis, we must remain grounded in faith and harmony. The guilty should face action only as prescribed by law,” he stated.

Blast Outside Red Fort Provokes National Outrage.

The blast occurred outside the parking lot of the Red Fort Metro station and caused panic for commuters and residents in neighbouring areas. Following the explosion, multiple vehicles were damaged, and forensic teams confirmed after the blast that traces of explosives were retrieved, much like the previous week in Faridabad, where police seized nearly 3,000 kg of “bomb-making materials,” as well as weapons.

The Delhi police and central law enforcement continue to investigate the matter, and have not ruled out potential connections; it has also been confirmed that the NIA (National Investigative Agency) was called in briefly and is awaiting direction to enter any involvement should it be required.

“Unity is Our Strength,” proclaims the influential Bageshwar Baba

He emphasised the importance of togetherness, community, and spiritual strength. “No religion teaches us to be hateful. In our speech or response, we do not react with hatred, but with awareness and unity,” he said, invoking the timeless teachings of the Sanatan religion, which fosters peace, dharma, and protection of humanity.

He encouraged devotees to maintain their faith in law enforcement and support the national government and investigative agencies, stating, “We must believe in law. The guilty must face the law and punishment, but let us not allow such deeds to divide us.”

Political leaders also responded

Many political and social leaders had similar reactions. Calls for investigation were multifold in demand for speedy and transparent investigations, with citizens calling for accountability and improved security measures in the capital.

The Union Home Ministry confirmed that security was beefed up in metro stations, railway premises, and other public venues with dense public gatherings.

Delhi remains on high alert

As forensic teams recognize and gather evidence, authorities focus their investigation on apprehending the individuals, or the network of individuals, who acted for the explosion. Intelligence inputs have suggested that the recovered articles from Faridabad and the articles confiscated in Delhi, were potentially earmarked to be utilized in a greater plan.

Authorities even encouraged the public to be ever vigilant and to never hesitate in reporting any suspicious activity.
