What Did The Witness To Dipu Chandra Das Murder Said?
The witness while hiding his identity said he used to work with Dipu. He said the co-workers of Dipu were not happy with him as he got promoted and was a hard-working man. Therefore, his co-workers started spreading rumours that Dipu committed blasphemy.
The witness added that Dipu was forced to resign and was then handed over to a mob that gave him to the angry public. The people waiting outside the factory thrashed him, hitting on his chest and face. Dipu was bleeding profusely and added the mob was behaving like demons.
Hindus living in the troubled capital of Bangladesh have been expressing fears ever since Dipu’s death. Many believe that the Islamic radicalists are after Hindus not just because they are supporters of Awami League led by the former PM Sheikh Hasina.
