Diwali 2023: On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent out wishes to the country on the occasion of Diwali, wishing everyone happiness and prosperity.
PM Modi’s Diwali Greetings
PM Modi said in a tweet that, “Wishing everyone a Happy Diwali! May this special festival bring joy, prosperity and wonderful health to everyone’s lives.” In addition, President Droupadi Murmu wished the country a happy Diwali and asked everyone to observe the holiday responsibly.
Spreading Joy to the Needy
“The festival of Deepawali illuminates our conscience and inspires us to work for welfare of humanity, One lamp can light up many others. In the same manner, we can bring happiness and prosperity in the lives of the poor and needy by sharing our joys with them.” the President said. She urged, “Let us all celebrate the festival of lights safely and take pledge for nation building by contributing in the conservation of environment.”
CM Yogi’s Festive Greetings
Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, also wished the state’s citizens a happy festival of lights. CM Tweeted, “Hearty congratulations and best wishes to the people of the state on the great festival of Diwali, the victory of truth over untruth, virtue over oppression, light over darkness! With the blessings of Lord Shri Ram and Mata Janaki, may this holy festival illuminate the lives of all of you with the white light of happiness, prosperity, good fortune and health.”
