Fog Update: Temperatures in the national capital and the nearby NCR have dropped as low as 1.9 degrees Celsius over the last week as a result of the cold weather. But according to a meteorological expert, India will experience a severe cold wave from January 14–19. This will also result in dense fog engulfing the North.
On Thursday, the IMD predicted that there will be dense to extremely dense fog in several areas of Bihar and that there would be isolated pockets of dense fog across Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, and Tripura (January 13).

Delhi
The national capital is first and foremost predicted to see moderate showers today. IMD forecasts a 100-meter drop in visibility in the early morning hours. However, as midday approaches, things is probably going to become better. It will be interesting to see how the rain affects the previously chilly temperatures.
Lucknow
According to the most recent fog update, Lucknow will be engulfed in a heavy layer of fog this morning. However, there should be some reprieve about midday. However, the visibility is predicted to be between 100 and 200 metres in the early morning hours.

Jaipur
As per the latest fog update, Jaipur is predicted to remain clear in the morning. However, the effect of mist will be seen as the night was engulfed in dense fog. The weather in the city has been quite changing as some of the days have been fog-free.
Amritsar
The morning of this day is expected to be quite foggy in Amritsar. Additionally, visibility may be reduced by up to 300 metres. However, a little break is expected as midday approaches.
