Fog Update

Fog Update: The cold wave has started to abate as January entered into the third week. However, the rains and hailstorms have dropped the temperature further in certain areas which made problems even worse. Though this change in trend is likely to continue until the weekend, there are major chances that fog will reduce after that as well.

Yesterday, fog was observed in various regions of North India. IMD has predicted that West UP, Bihar, Odisha will continue to remain impacted by shallow fog. Read below to know about the latest fog update.

Delhi

Moderate fog will continue to engulf the national capital in the morning as the natives already brace for rains. The effect, though, will only be there until the morning. IMD has predicted a visibility drop by 400 metres in the early morning hours, which will then improve up to 1200-1300 metres.

Lucknow

Uttar Pradesh’s capital which observed rains yesterday and shallow fog is predicted to get relief today. Fog will still be there but its intensity will be reduced by many folds. IMD has predicted that the visibility will drop up to 1200 metres in the early morning hours and will get significantly better as noon approaches.

Amritsar

The effect of fog continues in Amritsar at the same pace. Isolated regions are predicted to be majorly affected today while the city continues to remain similar. IMD had predicted the visibility to get dropped up to 600 metres in the early morning hours and then improve up to 1500 metres after the peak morning.

Jaipur

IMD predicts no fog in the city for today as the region continues its fog-free trend. Though, the temperatures will continue their chilly effect even if the fog is not there.
