Girl set on fire for refusing proposal dies in Jharkhand

Politics has now heated up regarding the Ankita Singh murder case of Dumka. The leaders of the opposition have started besieging the government. Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das has said that the Dumka incident has shamed humanity, society and Jharkhand. There have been more than 1000 cases with tribal girls and women in the state. This is not an ordinary incident because people of a particular community want to change the demography through love jihad.

Former Chief Minister of the state Arjun Munda said that Dumka’s daughter Ankita lost the battle of life in RIMS of Ranchi. A ruthless youth named Shahrukh had set her on fire by spraying petrol. The state government should set up a fast track court and give death penalty to the killer.

Shivsena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi said that it is disgusting to read such news again and again. There should be zero tolerance on such crimes. At the same time, National Commission for Women (NCW) President Rekha Sharma said that it is very pathetic, you cannot force women to get married and that’s why the girl had to lose her life. We have sought a report from the DGP in 7 days.

Ankita, a resident of Dumka, was burnt alive by a youth named Shahrukh on 22 August. Five days after this incident, Ankita died in Ranchi.
