Gujarat: Jitu Vaghani, the Minister of Education for Gujarat, stated on Monday that the state would provide two free cylinders each family every year.
Mr. Vaghani announced that the citizens and housewives would receive a Rs. 1,000 cr relief. The minister added that the state government had decided to provide two free cylinders every year.

He claimed that roughly 38 lakh housewives were taken into consideration when making the decision.
According to the minister, the public can receive up to Rs. 1,700 with the alleviation of the Rs. 650 crore decided for this scheme.
Additionally, the minister had stated that the government will be reducing the value added tax (VAT) on compressed natural gas (CNG) and piped natural gas (PNG) by 10% on Monday.

According to him, there would be a benefit of about Rs. 6-7 per kilogram if we took a 10% reduction in CNG into account. Similar to that, PNG will receive a benefit of Rs. 5.00 to Rs. 5.50 per kg, according to the ministry. He saw the state government’s declaration as significant and saw it as a Diwali gift from the state. The Pradhan Mantri Ujwala Yojana recipients, he claimed, will benefit from it. He continued by saying that their accounts would be directly credited with the entire sum.
