Guru Gobind Singh Ji was born on December 2, 1666, in Patna, Bihar, and played a pivotal role in shaping Sikhism. He codified Sikh law, authored martial poetry and music, and compiled the Sikh holy scriptures—'Dasam Granth' and 'Guru Granth Sahib.'

Creation of Khalsa

His greatest achievement was creating the Khalsa in 1699, introducing the five Ks (Kesh, Kara, Kanga, Kachera, Kirpan) to the Sikh community.

Before his passing in 1708, Guru Gobind Singh declared Guru Granth Sahib to be the permanent Sikh Guru, leaving a profound impact on Sikhism.
