Haryana Schools Closed: Good news for students ! Government extends winter break up to 21st January | Details here

Haryana Schools Closed: For all public and private schools in the state of Haryana, the school break has been extended to January 21, 2023. The choice was taken in light of Haryana’s severe weather conditions. Students have been notified by the government that January 23, 2023, will mark the return of the schools.

Board exam students need to attend classes

Additionally, owing to board exams, Haryana students in grades 10 and 12 will be required to attend class. Classes 10 and 12 will continue to meet for instruction from 10 AM to 2 PM, as per the prior timetable. The official notice read, “You are informed that in view of harsh winter, all the schools (government and private) of the state will be closed till January 21, 2023. winter vacation is extended till Saturday. All schools will be closed during this period.” 

The official announcement further said that the teachers giving the extra classes will be granted a leave in accordance with departmental guidelines.

In a similar vein, the state of Jharkhand’s administration closed all elementary schools owing to an extremely cold spell in North India. While classrooms for kindergarten through fifth grade will be closed tomorrow, January 14, 2023, students in grades six through twelve attended as normal. Additionally, starting on January 15, 2023, all public schools in Punjab and Delhi will reopen.
