Heavy Rain In Kerala : Kerala Issues Orange And Yellow Alert In These Districts

Heavy rain continues in South India. It has been raining heavily in Kerala for three consecutive days. The Meteorological Department has issued orange alert for 6 districts and alert in 8 districts.

Orange Alert issued here –

Ernakulam,
Idukki,
Thrissur,
Kozhikode,
Kasaragod

Yellow Alert issued here –

kollam,
Pathanamthitta,
Alappuzha,
Palakkad,
Malappuram,
Kottayam,
Wayanad

The Meteorological Department has said that there may be heavy rains in the state till November 16. The administration has appealed to the people not to come out of the house without need. The effect of rain in Kerala is going to be felt in the neighboring states as well. Therefore, IMD has predicted heavy rains in many states for November 16-18.

The IMD has predicted heavy rains in Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar Islands on November 16. While on November 17 and 18, there is a possibility of heavy rain along the Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra coast. The Meteorological Department has advised fishermen not to venture into the sea for the next 4 days from today.
