India’s Army Chief raises alarm over China’s efforts to dominate global internet security

Indian Army Chief

Indian Army Chief: General Manoj Pande, the head of the army, stated on Monday that China is attempting to displace the United States as the world’s leading provider of internet security in light of the 12 point peace plan to end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. General Manoj Pande, who gave the keynote address at the opening session of the two-day strategic dialogue in Pune said, “Brokering of peace talks between Saudi Arabia and Iran and putting forth the Chinese 12 point peace plan for ending the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia is reflective of Chinese urgency to replace the US as a global net security provider: Army Chief General Manoj Pande, in Pune”

General Pande outlined the problems

General Pande said of the crisis between Russia and Ukraine, “Several aspects are developing significantly in the geopolitical security equation. The conflict has just added to the instability in the terrain.” The strategic neighbourhood, according to him, can be seen as a “arch of uncertainty.” General Pande outlined the problems that will keep the South Asia region unstable, stating that “Unresolved border disputes both territorial as well as Maritime, illegal cross-border migration, non-traditional threats such as illegal and unregulated fishing and increasing religious fundamentalism coupled with regional vulnerability to climate change induced disaster are going to keep South Asia region in flux.”
