‘Irresponsible and unfortunate’: PM Modi attacks Congress

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said at a party conference today said that “the Congress had been unable to digest the BJP in power and had not emerged from it’s coma despite defeats in Assam, Bengal, and Kerala”. He was responding to opposition attacks on his government’s response of Covid.

PM Modi, speaking at a weekly meeting of BJP MPs, called the Congress’s behaviour “irresponsible and unfortunate,” and advised his party to bring facts about the government’s task to the citizens so that “the opposition’s lies did not fill the vacuum.”

“Congress still feels entitled to run the country for the past 60 years, and as a result, they haven’t been able to accept the fact that the people have chosen us. As an opposition, they should take a strong stance on issues concerning people’s welfare, which they do not “According to reports, the Prime Minister said.

He said that Congress was purposely creating a negative environment of the country, despite the fact that vaccines are not in limited supply.

“The Congress party believes it has a right to power. It is unconcerned about the fact that its mandate is slipping. It is in decline everywhere, but it is still more worried with us than with itself “On the opposition party, Prime Minister Modi stated.

PM Modi stated that the Covid crisis was a humanitarian issue rather than a political one, and that the government had guaranteed that no one went hungry during the outbreak.

Even today, he claimed, 20% of frontline troops in Delhi were not inoculated, which was concerning.

After 100 years, Prime Minister Modi said, a pandemic like the covid 19  had emerged. Given the predictions of a third wave, BJP MPs should be ready, he stressed.

To counter opposition misinformation on the Covid fight, he advised BJP leaders to visit fair pricing stores on July 24 and 25, when free rations will be supplied.
