J-K Police arrests terrorist aide with 5 kg of IED in Pulwama

The Jammu and Kashmir Police foiled a dangerous conspiracy in Pulwama and arrested an associate of the terrorists. 5 kg Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was recovered from his possession. The police made this recovery on the basis of interrogation of Ishfaq Ahmed Wani, an associate of the terrorists.

A police officer said, “Pulwama police averted a major incident by nabbing terrorist associate Ishfaq Ahmed Wani, a resident of Argaam Pulwama, and recovered an IED (around 5-6 kg) on his disclosure. Investigation has been started by registering a case.

Operation Trinetra eliminated terrorists

On Friday, during an anti-terrorist operation in Rajouri, five army personnel were martyred in a terrorist attack. An officer of Major rank was injured in this. One terrorist was killed and another injured in an encounter with security forces on Saturday morning.

The slain terrorist was believed to be involved in an attack on civilians in Dhangadi village earlier this year. There is a possibility of survival of a terrorist injured in the encounter. This encounter lasted for several hours. The operation is codenamed ‘Trinetra’ and was going on till the last reports came in, they said.

Destroyed the ecosystem of terror

Terrorists have been successfully intercepted by carrying out several operations in the Union Territory, due to which several terrorists and their commanders have been eliminated. Several people have been arrested in the last few months to bring down the ecosystem of terror in Jammu and Kashmir.

Recently, on May 4, while running Operation All Out, two terrorists were killed by the security forces during an encounter in Vanigam Payin Kreeri area of Baramulla. AK 47 was recovered from the terrorists. In fact, security forces in Baramulla had received specific inputs about the presence of terrorists in the village.
