JNU: Slogans calling for the reconstruction of Babri Masjid were written on the walls of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi ahead of the massive Ram Mandir consecration ceremony that is set to take place in Ayodhya on January 22.

School of Language 2 Building

A spray-painted message with the words "Rebuild Babri Masjid 6 December" and the name "NSUI" (National Students' Union of India) below was placed on the first floor of the School of Language 2 building. On Thursday, the images of the graffiti went viral on social media. Controversy has been raised by the inscription on the campus wall that is purportedly attributed to NSUI. The student body, however, has refuted any involvement, claiming that none of the group's members wrote the message.

Strong Opposition by NSUI

The students' union has vehemently objected to such views and claimed that this message is a part of a plot to discredit NSUI and the campus. Additionally, NSUI has asked the university administration to investigate the situation thoroughly. It's not the first time graffiti has been found on JNU's walls. Similar incidents occurred in October of this year when messages saying "Free Kashmir," "Teri Kabra Khudegi" (Your grave will be dug), and "Bhagwa Jalega" were sprayed on a university building's walls.
