Kargil Vijay Diwas 2023: Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated in India every year on July 26. The day is marked to commemorate the victory of the Indian Armed Forces over Pakistani militants during the Kargil War in 1999. On this occasion, heartfelt tributes honouring the sacrifices of our martyred soldiers have been pouring in from across the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took to Twitter to hail the bravery of our fallen angels during the 1999 Kargil War.
PM Modi pays tributes to Kargil War heroes
Pm Modi on Wednesday morning took to Twitter to salute the ‘bravehearts of India’. In a tweet, he wrote, “Kargil Vijay Diwas brings to the fore the heroic saga of those wonderful bravehearts of India, who will remain an inspiration for the countrymen. On this special day, I bow down and salute him from the bottom of my heart. Long live India!”
Defence Minister’s rich tribute to martyrs
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh laid a wreath at Kargil War Memorial in Ladakh’s Dras to pay his rich tributes to the soldiers who lost their life in the Kargil War. The defence minister, who is the guest of honour at the event held in Kargil, also visits the ‘Hut of Remembrance’ museum which was created to commemorate the Kargil soldiers.
Celebrations across the country
Throughout the country, numerous events are being carried out to pay heartwarming tributes to the soldier who brought glory to the country with their unparallel dedication. Ceremonies, memorials and parades are held nationwide to honour the valour of the bravehearts who died during the Kargil War.
Meanwhile, a two-day event was held at the Kargil War Memorial, situation in Drass Kargil which was also attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
