Karnataka News: A female worker of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was allegedly stripped, assaulted and humiliated in broad daylight on January 6 in Karnataka.

The incident happened during her arrest by Karnataka Police in Hubballi district. However, the allegations were vehemently refuted by Hubballi Police Commissioner Shashi Kumar.
In a now viral video, the woman can be seen surrounded by male and female cops. It was alleged by BJP that the clothes of the woman were torn by police personnel during the arrest.
Police has claimed that the woman herself took her clothes off and started throwing them away. It was also claimed that she bit a police officer on duty and attacked 3-4 more cops.

The incident sparked a massive storm in the state with the BJP targeting the state’s ruling Congress government.
