Police have arrested a man who wrote a threat letter to launch a suicide bomb attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Kochi on Monday, April 24. Kochi police commissioner K Sethu Raman said that the police have nabbed the person who allegedly send the letter threatening PM Modi. He said that the intent behind the letter was the accused’s personal animosity with his neighbor.

Kochi Man arrested
Kochi Police commissioner said that the man who sent a letter threatening he will launch a suicide bomb attack on PM Modi was arrested on Sunday. The man has been identified as Xavier.
“The person who sent the threat letter against the PM was arrested. Xavier, the accused, was arrested yesterday. The reason is personal enmity. He wrote the letter to trap his neighbour. We found him with the help of forensics,” said the police commissioner.
PM Modi’s Kerala visit
PM Modi will flag off the country’s first water metro that connects ten small islands surrounding the port city of Kochi in Kerala on Tuesday.
Eight hybrid boats manufactured by Cochin Shipyard will be dedicated to bringing out the operation of Metro Project, said water metro officials.
This integrated metro system connecting rail, road, and water will be a game changer for the state, the officials said.
“Water Metro will have an elite touch with an affordable price tag. We have streamlined 15 routes that cover 75 kms and we expect more electrically- propelled hybrid boats from the Cochin Shipyard,” said Kochi Metro managing director(MD) Loknath Behra, also the former state director general of police (DGP).
