Lalit Modi mocks Rahul Gandhi over his Modi surname remark: ‘I look forward to seeing him’

Lalit Modi, the founder of IPL, on Thursday launched a scathing attack at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He said that he will take the disqualified MP to the UK court over his ‘Modi Surname’ remarks.

Modi, who has been living in London since 2010 after facing allegations of spot fixing and irregularities in the IPL, took to Twitter on Thursday to lash out at Gandhi. In a warning, he said he “looked forward to seeing him make a complete fool of himself.”

What Lalit Modi said

“I see just about every Tom, Dick and Gandhi associates again and again saying I am a fugitive of justice. Why, how and when was I to date ever convicted of same. unlike #Papu aka @RahulGandhi, who is now an ordinary citizen saying it and it seems one and all Opposition leaders have nothing else to do so they too are either ill informed or just vendetta-prone,” he said.

He further added: “I have decided to take the Rahul Gandhi to court in UK right away. I am sure he will have to come-up with some solid evidence. I look forward to seeing him make a complete fool of himself. #rkdhawan #sitaramkesri #motilalvohra #satishsharna all bag men of #gandhi family. Not to forget #naraindutttewari. how do u all have overseas assets. ask #mrkamalnath. I can send.”

Rahul Gandhi’s Modi surname remark

Rahul Gandhi was recently convicted two years in prison by a Surat court after he was found guilty in a defamation case for comments seen as an insult to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  “How come all thieves have the common surname Modi?” Mr Gandhi had said, clubbing PM Modi with Lalit Modi and fugitive diamantaire Nirav Modi.
