Lucknow: In a frightening occurrence, a young bride in her early twenties slumped on stage during the garland exchange ceremony and died, reportedly from a cardiac arrest.
The event occurred on Saturday in Bhadwana hamlet in Malihabad, on the outskirts of Lucknow, according to police.
Subhas Chandra Saroj, the Malihabad Station House Officer (SHO), stated that they learned about the occurrence through social media and that a team was deployed to the area to investigate.

“According to information, wedding of Shivangi, daughter of Rajpal of Bhadwana village with Vivek was taking place. The bride reached the stage and garlanded the groom. Seconds later, she collapsed on stage leading to panic among guests,” SHO informed.
Shivangi was hurried to the community health centre and then to the Trauma Centre, but she died on the way.
