Macabre murders: After grisly murder of Shraddha Walkar, two more similar killings of women have come to the fore. All three women had one thing in common. All three were murdered by their partners.
As shocking details continue to emerge from the murder cases, we bring to you a recap of the three most ghoulish killings that have sent shockwaves across the country.
Nikki Yadav murder
In a shocking incident, Nikki Yadav was allegedly strangled with a mobile phone cable by her boyfriend Sahil Gehlot. Sahil and Nikki had an argument over his proposed marriage to another woman. After killing Nikki, her 24-year-old partner stuffed her body inside the refrigerator of his dhaba in southwest Delhi and went off to marry another woman the same day.
Nikki Yadav was furious when she learnt that Sahil was getting married to another woman. Nikki confronted him and after a heated argument, Gehlot killed her.
Shraddha Walkar murder case
Aftab Amin Poonawala is accused of strangulating his live in partner Shraddha Walkar and chopping her body into more than 17 pieces. The Delhi Police claimed in its charge sheet that Aftab bought a fridge and kept the body parts in it before disposing them of in the jungle of Chattarpur Pahari situated at Mehrauli-Gurugram road and other areas over the next three months.
Megha Thorvi murder case
A man killed his wife and hid the body in a bed box in Palghar district in Maharashtra following a spat over money. He burnt incense sticks to hide the odour. The accused was identified as Hardik Shah. Hardik and Megha met each other through a dating app and after living together for sometime they got married in August 2022. Hardik was arrested by Mira- Bhayander-Vasai-Virar police with the help of Railway Protection Force (RPF) officials from Nagda in Madhya Pradesh.
