MP News: Good News for State Employees, Govt gives 4 percent hike in DA

Madhya Pradesh: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced four percent hike in the Dearness Allowance for the State Government Employees, just ahead of the Assembly Elections in the year end. The CM made this announcement in an event in Sehore district while addressing a Mass Marriage event on Friday. He said that the Government has hiked the DA by 4 percent in equal with the DA given by the Centre.

Madhya Pradesh going to Polls in November this year

The state is going to Polls in the month of November this year. The Odisha Government had also announced 4 percent hike in the DA for its 7 lakh employees and pensioners with effect from Jan 23. The Odisha Government employees will be getting a hike of 42 percent and this will be reflected in their June salary.

Many Governments had hiked DA in the past

The Congress formed the Government in the 2018 Assembly Elections after coming out as the Single largest Party with 114 seats, while the Bhartiya Janata Party secured 109 seats. The Shivraj Government came to power when Jyotiraditya Scindia quit congress and joined BJP.
