Just a few months before the assembly elections in Punjab, there is a ruckus in the ruling Congress. In the midst of the political battle of Captain Amarinder vs Navjot Singh Sidhu, the party high command is trying to quell the discord. Meanwhile, after Sidhu’s long meeting with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in Delhi on Wednesday, political fervor has increased in Punjab as well. After meeting Priyanka, Sidhu has now met former Congress President Rahul Gandhi.
Navjot Singh Sidhu had come to Delhi only on Tuesday and he was to meet Rahul Gandhi on the same day. But the former Congress president had said on those speculations that the meeting of the two was not fixed. Now the very next day the two leaders have met.
Earlier, former Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu held a long meeting with party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday. Sharing a picture of his meeting with Priyanka, Sidhu tweeted, “Had a long meeting with Priyanka Gandhi ji.” Both Sidhu and Priyanka had smiles on their faces in the picture.
