'Odd-Even' formula will be implemented to tackle pollution in Delhi

The havoc of pollution that started in the capital Delhi after Diwali continues till now. The people of Delhi are forced to breathe poisonous air. On Friday, the air quality index in many areas of Delhi had slipped into the 'very poor' category. In the midst of these difficult situations, all efforts of the Delhi government are going on to make the capital free of pollution as soon as possible. In such a situation, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai has indicated to implement the odd-even formula. Gopal Rai has said that in view of the situation in Delhi, implementing the odd-even formula seems to be the last resort.

Gopal Rai has said that we have given instructions to increase the frequency of Metro and DTC buses in Delhi, we also appeal to the people to use more and more public transport. Gopal Rai said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has called an emergency meeting on Saturday on the issue of pollution. For this we have invited other parties also. Dealing with pollution will be discussed in this joint meeting.

During this, Gopal Rai also targeted the central government. He said that the Delhi government has done a lot of work so far on the issue of pollution, but we do not understand why the Center is still silent on this issue. Gopal Rai said that to tackle pollution, we conducted an anti-dust campaign and inspected 2,500 sites. Apart from this, the Delhi government has started 'Red Light On, Car Off' campaign to combat vehicular pollution. Also, 550 people have been deployed to ban biomass burning. Bio decomposer is given to stop stubble burning.
