PAN- ADHAAR Card Link Last date

PAN AADHAAR LINK: The last date for linking PAN and Aadhaar is currently 31 March 2022. If you do not link Aadhaar with PAN by this last date, then you will have to pay a late fee of Rs 1000.

Do this work before the last date for PAN card holders to link your Permanent Account Number (PAN) with your Aadhar card number by March 31, 2021. It is important for every PAN cardholder to link his/her PAN with Aadhaar and avoid paying the penalty for missing the PAN-Aadhaar linking deadline.

If you do not link your Aadhaar and PAN by the stipulated deadline, then you may have to face many more problems. It is very important for the PAN card holder to link the Aadhar or else his PAN card will be invalid. Paying income tax will not be possible due to invalidation of PAN card, while many other works will also stop, such as bank accounts will not be able to be opened. The work of mutual funds, stock trading will also stop.

Know here how PAN can be linked with Aadhaar-

Open the Income Tax e-filing portal https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/

Register on it (if not already done).

Your PAN (Permanent Account Number) will be your User ID.

Log in by entering User ID, Password and Date of Birth.

A pop up window will open asking you to link your PAN with Aadhaar.

If the pop up window does not open then go to ‘Profile Settings’ on the menu bar and click on ‘Link Aadhaar’.

As per the PAN, the details like name, date of birth and gender will be mentioned there already.

Verify your Aadhaar and PAN card details.

If the details match, enter your Aadhaar number and click on the “Link Now” button.

A pop-up message will show that your Aadhaar has been successfully linked with your PAN.

The section on provision of late fee is included in the Income Tax Act.

According to the recently inserted section 234H of the Income Tax Act, if a PAN card holder fails to link his PAN with Aadhaar card on or before the deadline, then they will have to pay Rs 1000 as late fee. If you used an inactive PAN card, then in that case you may have to pay a fine of up to 10 thousand rupees.
