Petrol and diesel prices were today kept unchanged across the country even though the global oil benchmark Brent crude futures gained in the international market. The two consecutive days of pause in the revision of fuel rates provided much needed relief to consumers during this festival.

Difference in the price of petrol and diesel in the states varies due to the tax and the cost of transportation imposed by the central and state government.
Globally, Brent crude fell 0.29% to $83.18 a barrel, just off Monday’s three-year high of $84.6, while U.S. crude shed 0.2% to $80.48 off Monday’s seven-year high of $82.18.
