PM Modi addresses nation through ‘Mann Ki Baat’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 11am on Sunday addressed the nation through his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme. This was the 76th episode of the programme and the fourth this year. The previous three ‘Man Ki Baat’ episodes of 2021 took place on January 31, February 28 and March 28.

The radio programme comes amid the surge in the Covid-19 cases in the country. India logged a record 3,49,691 new coronavirus infections in a day taking it total tally of Covid-19 cases to 1,69,60,172, while active cases crossed the 26-lakh mark, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated at 8 am today.

PM Modi has urged Indians not to fall prey to rumours about the vaccines. “I urge people to not fall prey to any rumour about the vaccine. You all must be aware that govt has sent free vaccines to all state govts.

All people above 45 yrs of age can benefit from this. From May 1, vaccines will be available for every person above 18 years of age: PM Modi.

Meanwhile, PM Modi converses with Mumbai-based Dr Shashank over the ongoing second wave of Covid-19 in the country. “While cases are surging, more recoveries also being recorded,” says Dr Shashank.
