PM Modi chairs meeting of Union Council of Ministers, proclaims “Amrit Kaal” for next 25 years

The meeting at Pragati Maidan saw Indian PM asking his council to prepare roadmap for next 25 years.

PM Modi: On Monday, PM Narendra Modi chaired a meeting of the Union Council of Ministers at the Pragati Maidan convention center. The Prime Minister asked the council of ministers to aim their focus on boosting India’s ability in certain sectors by 2047. PM Modi described the era till 2047 as “Amrit Kaal” (golden era) for the nation. All the ministers present in the meeting gave a presentation on India’s road to development for the next 25 years.

‘A fruitful meeting with the Council of Ministers

PM Modi took to twitter and shared a picture of the attending ministers. He captioned the image “A fruitful meeting with the Council of Ministers, where we exchanged views on diverse policy related issues.”

PM Modi asked the ministers to prepare a calendar of 12 major achievements and schemes of their respective departments and publicize the work being done. He asked ministers to shift their focus on 2047 rather than on 2047. He also talked about the work done by the government in last 9 years and told Council of Ministers to promote their achievements for next nine months.

Last Cabinet reshuffle?

Their are ongoing speculations pertaining to a major reshuffle of Cabinet and Council of Minsters. The meeting was preceded by a lot of meeting between BJP’s top working management. The Monsoon Session of Parliament will commence on July 20 and this meeting may give an indication into one potential reshuffle before the lower house congregates.
