G20 Summit: During the recently finished G20 Summit at the newly built Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended a Delhi Police inspector named Suresh Kumar for prioritising his duty even after his mother had a heart attack.

Inspector Suresh Kumar's Key Role in Ensuring Security at G20 Summit

Inspector Suresh Kumar described the G20 Summit to Prime Minister Modi, stating that he was sent to the Bharat Mandapam for the major summit's security of the bilateral conference rooms. Inspector Suresh responded, "We carried out our duties with immense pride, fully aware of the significance of organising such a monumental event," when the prime minister asked about his experience at the G20 Summit.

Inspector's Sacrifice Amid Mother's Heart Attack During G20 Summit

However, the inspector's tone shifted as he related an emotional experience and explained that he had learned of his mother's hospitalisation due to a heart attack during the meeting. Despite this, the inspector prioritised his obligation to the nation. The prime minister commended the inspector for putting his country's interests first during the summit after learning about the inspector's experience. “You handled everything well and I thank you for that. You gave priority to the nation's needs and kept yourself dedicated to the duty despite such a big tragedy. May god give you a lot of power," PM Modi said.
