Patna News: City to Get a Make-Over with 3 Big Ticket Projects likely to begin soon, check details

Patna News: The city will soon get a makeover with exciting road projects & other development works. There are currently 3 projects which will provide better road connectivity and proper drainage system. The first project is Amas-Ram Nagar National Highway, second is 6km long Saidpur drain will be rebuilt and third is Road will be built on the Mandiri drain. The construction work on all the three projects is likely to begin soon. The work on the Amas-Ram Nagar National Highway is expected to begin by 15th oct. The land has been acquired in Mauza, Bahrampur, Baghbhar, Pirawan and Nasratpur.

Saidpur Drain will have Trapezoidal drainage system

The second project Saidpur drain will be rebuilt with a road and the contract has been assigned to BUIDCO. ( Bihar Urban Infrastructure development Corporation ltd). Two lane road will be built on this drain. It currently bears the flow of 9 pumping stations. Authorities are planning to build Trapezoidal drainage system along with a two lane road on both sides of the drain. Other arrangements have been made to filter flowing waste in the drain.

What is a Trapezoidal drainage system?

It allows the collection and transportation of surface water while protecting the area from erosion.

Mandiri Drain Project likely to end by June next year

Authorities are likely to start the construction work of the Mandiri drain by next week. The contract has been given to the agency and is likely to be finished by June next year.
