Distressing visuals are coming in from West Bengal, where in a train accident five people were killed and many injured on Thursday evening. The railway authorities have announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the families of those killed and Rs 1 lakh for the seriously injured and Rs 25,000 for the injured.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Bannerjee and several other big names took to Twitter to condole the loss in the train accident.

According to sources, a relief train has also been dispatched to the accident site. Jalpaiguri district administration said that the injured passengers have been admitted to the hospital in Maynaguri.
