PM Modi reminds Amitabh Bhachchan of his pending visit to Statue of Unity

Amitabh Bachchan expressed his longing to visit the mystical and divine Kailash Parbat

PM Modi

On Sunday, Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan shared a photo on his social media platform X, which was formally known as Twitter. The photo captured Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to the Parvati Kund and Jageshwar Temples in Uttarakhand. During this visit, PM Modi extended an invitation to Amitabh Bachchan to attend the upcoming Rann Utsav (Rann festival) in Gujarat’s Kutch and visit the Statue of Unity, which is the world’s tallest statue.

Amitabh Bachchan expressed his longing to visit the mystical and divine Kailash Parbat, also known as Mount Kailash, which has fascinated him for a long time. Regrettably, he mentioned that he might never be able to visit this sacred site in person. His statement was posted on his X handle.

Prime Minister Modi responded to Bachchan’s post by mentioning his recent visit to the Parvati Kund and Jageshwar Temples and encouraged him to attend the Rann Utsav in Kutch and visit the Statue of Unity. He wrote on X, “My visit to Parvati Kund and Jageshwar Temples was truly mesmerizing. In the coming weeks, Rann Utsav is starting, and I would urge you to visit Kutch. Your visit to Statue of Unity is also due. @SrBachchan.”

PM Modi offered prayers at Parvati Kund

During his day-long visit to Uttarakhand on Thursday, PM Modi offered prayers at Parvati Kund in Pithoragarh and had a glimpse of the Adi Kailash peak, believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva. He also participated in a puja at Jageshwar Dham, performed a circumambulation around the Jyotirlinga, and engaged in meditation at this sacred location. Additionally, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth ₹4,200 crore and addressed a public gathering.

Amitabh Bachchan, who previously served as the brand ambassador of Gujarat Tourism in 2012 when Modi was the state’s chief minister, recently celebrated his 81st birthday.
