PM Modi

PM Modi: In a harsh attack on the Congress on Sunday regarding corruption, Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed that the grand old party had always been linked to a “85 percent commission” and that its “shahi parivar” (royal family) was free on bail due to scams involving thousands of crores of rupees.

PM Modi warned the people not to trust the Congress

He attacked opponents JD(S) and Congress, calling them a “sign of instability,” while speaking at three rallies in “Old Mysuru” (South Karnataka), where the BJP is thought to be weak and is concentrating on winning more seats in this Vokkaliga-dominated region in order to return to power with a majority. PM Modi warned the people not to trust the Congress, whose “primary objective is to serve a family sitting in Delhi,” or the JD(S), which is “totally a private limited party of a family,” with the state’s prosperity.

Prime Minister Modi accuses Congress for its involvement in corruption

At a public gathering in Kolar, Prime Minister Modi attacked the Congress for its involvement in corruption and pointed guns at its leader, Mallikarjun Kharge, for calling him a “venomous snake.” Modi added that he was okay with being compared to the snake around their necks, because for him and for the country’s citizens, were a “form of god.” He added, “The nation has stopped trusting Congress and its ‘shahi parivar’ for a reason. The 85% commission has always been associated with the name of Congress. When the Congress was in power, the party’s top official and former prime minister used to boast that if he sent one rupee from Delhi, 15 cents would reach the people on ground and the poor were robbed of 85 pence by Congress. The Prime Minister said, “This is not a BJP accusation; rather, it is the public endorsement of the former Prime Minister of the Congress. Congress can never work for Karnataka’s development if it takes an 85% commission.”

Both the Congress and the JD(S) exhibit instability-PM Modi

“Every vote you give in favour of the JD(S) would go into the Congress’s account,” according to PM Modi, ‘whereas voting for the Congress means halting Karnataka’s progress. Karnataka has decided to put a stop to its long history of jod-tod (coalition) politics this time. Both the Congress and the JD(S) exhibit instability.’ He claimed that both parties viewed Karnataka as an ATM and took advantage of the state’s instability. H D Kumaraswamy, Deve Gowda’s son and the second-in-command of the JD(S), defeated BJP candidate C P Yogeeshwara in the 2018 assembly election, and he is now running against him for reelection.
