Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the India Toy Fair 2021 on February 27 via video conferencing. The fair would be held from February 27 to March 2. The aim of the fair is to provide an opportunity to all the stakeholders, buyers, sellers, students, teachers and designers to create sustainable linkages and encourage dialogue for the overall development of the industry.
The virtual exhibition will see exhibitors from 30 states and Union Territories selling their products and would also have a string of webinars and panel discussions with eminent speakers from India and the world who have had proven talent in toy design manufacturing Additionally, Indian toys as well as modern toys including electronic toys, plush toys, puzzles and games.
In August 2020, during his Mann Ki Baat address, the Prime Minister had said that toys not only augment activity, but also give hope to aspirations to do better. He has also boasted that India will soon see expansion in toy manufacturing.
