PM Modi

On Monday, December 4, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to Maharashtra, where he will attend the “Navy Day 2023” celebrations in Sindhudurg and unveil the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The “Operational Demonstrations” by the Indian Navy’s ships, submarines, planes, and special forces from Tarkarli beach in Sindhudurg will also be seen by PM Modi.

“At around 4:15 PM, Prime Minister will reach Sindhudurg, Maharashtra and unveil the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Rajkot Fort. After that, Prime Minister will attend the programme marking ‘Navy Day 2023’ celebrations at Sindhudurg,” a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office said on Saturday.

PM to be a part of Navy Day Celebration:

Every year on December 4, people commemorate Navy Day. The celebration of “Navy Day 2023” in Sindhudurg pays tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, whose seal served as the inspiration for the new Naval Ensign that was adopted last year when the Prime Minister took delivery of the first indigenous aircraft carrier, INS Vikrant.

It is tradition to arrange “Operational Demonstrations” including the ships, submarines, planes, and special forces of the Indian Navy on Navy Day each year.

Everyone has the chance to observe several aspects of the Indian Navy’s multi-domain operations through these “Operational Demonstrations.” It raises public awareness of the Navy’s contributions to national security and encourages citizens to become more aware of marine issues.
