The approved rooftop solar scheme involves a significant financial support component from the central government, known as the Central Financial Assistance (CFA). This financial aid is specifically earmarked for Residential Rooftop Solar projects. The CFA will be capped at 3 kW, translating to subsidies such as ₹30,000 for a 1 kW system, ₹60,000 for 2 kW systems, and ₹78,000 for 3 kW systems or higher, based on current benchmark prices. The initiative aims to accelerate the adoption of solar power at the household level, contributing to sustainable energy practices and job creation in the solar industry.
