A two-day program of Pt. Dhirendra Shastri, head of Bageshwar Dham, is going on at Mira Road in Thane district of Maharashtra.
Meanwhile, the organizers have been served CrPC-149 notice by the Maharashtra Police. It has also been warned that the organizers of the program should take care that during the program the head of Bageshwar Dham Pt. Dhirendra Shastri should not give any controversial statement. Due to which the law and order will deteriorate. Dhirendra Shastri is doing a two-day program in Thane. It has been named Divya Darbar.
The event is being opposed by Maharashtra's anti-superstition organization and several opposition political parties.
What did the police say in the notice?
In the notice given by the Mira Road Police, it has been said that, 'There can be huge expectation of people in the program, in such a situation it will be the responsibility of the organizers to maintain law and order there. During the program, the head of Bageshwar Dham Pt. The organizers will also have to take care that no such statements should be made on behalf of Dhirendra Shastri which may hurt the sentiments of the people.'
Many organizations are protesting
Many organizations are opposing the program of Pandit Dhirendra Shastri. Political parties have also written letters to the police against this event. NCP MLA and former state minister Jitendra Awhad said in a tweet that it is unfortunate that the sermon of someone who insulted Sant Tukaram Maharaj is happening in Maharashtra. Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole also targeted. He had written a letter to the state government urging that the religious leader not be allowed to enter the state. The Congress leader accused him of insulting Tukaram Maharaj and angering lakhs of his devotees.
